Another survivor, a student of the Federal Government College, Buni Yadi, Yobe State, recounted his ordeal, gave details on how Boko Haram attacked his school, burnt it down in the early hours of February 25, 2014, Tuesday.
The teenager, whose identity is withheld for security reasons, was lying on the hospital bed during the interview. It was really painful for him to talk, but he found strength and courage to tell his story to ChannelsTV.
In a vivid emotional account, the school boy narrated that he was shot by a member of the group. The bullet ripped his arm, hit the stomach and exposed his intestine. The victim managed to escape into a nearby bush. He went unconscious till the morning, before he was eventually rescued and rushed to the hospital. SEE this story on video below:
It would be noted that the Federal Government College Buni Yadi is a co-educational institution located some 55 kilometres south of Damaturu the Yobe State capital, and the attack is the fourth recorded on schools in Yobe since the commencement of the insurgency, as GSS Damaturu, GSS Mamudo and College of Agriculture, Gujba were attacked in 2013.
