A woman identified as Zainab Mohammed a resident in Lukshi village in Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State has lost her eyes after hoodlums attacked her and removed them.
DSP Haruna Mohammed, Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the incident said that “We received a report at Dass Division that one Zainab Mohammed of Yelwan Dawani village was attacked by three people and two of her eyes were removed in the bush at Lukshi village. The woman was on her way home after attending a coronation ceremony when the incident occurred,” he said.
He also added: “Police detectives attached to Dass division visited the scene and took the victim to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital, Bauchi, for treatment”.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, Mohammed investigations have begun into the incident.
