Reports reaching us indicate there is tension in Egbe in Yagba West Local Government of Kogi State, as Fulani herdsmen allegedly attacked local people.
A number of unidentified herdsmen assaulted Kola Oloripupa, a farmer from Egbe. The man was working in farmland along Egbe-Eruku-Ilorin road with his son when some herdsmen approached them.
The farmer reportedly addressed them in Yoruba dialect, asking them not to tresspass. The intruders apeared not to understand him. According to an eyewitness, the herdsmen initially left the farm, but three of them returned later, wielding machetes.
One of them reporteldy aimed for the farmer's head, but Oloripupa was able to block the blow, and the machete sliced his hand.
