A prolific striker Moses Ogaga, who joined Shooting Stars mid season last year, died at the age of 26 on Wednesday morning in Ogbomosho on the way to Kano where his family was taking him for further medication.
The football player reportedly died of typhoid fever.
Shooting Stars, who currently face relegation as they are rooted bottom of the league table with just three matches left this season, recently offset the medical bills of Ogaga who was initially receiving treatment at a private clinic in Ibadan.
He was recruited to Shooting Stars by former General Manager, Mutiu Adepoju.
One of Ogaga's teammates, Thomas Adesina says:
“I am shocked, I never knew it was something this serious, we will miss him a big deal in Ibadan.”
