The child, Siphesihle Majola, who disappeared from his parents’ home in Mandeni in Zululand on Sunday, was found on Tuesday at the home of a domestic worker, police confirmed.
Police spokesman Thulani Zwane said the accused woman had been arrested and charged with kidnapping.
Majola, was found on the domestic worker’s bed with a bottle.
The baby’s father, Sikhumbuzo Majola, said his partner had met the woman at a clinic the day before, and had employed her after hearing that she was looking for work.
The woman stayed overnight with the couple as they were due to leave on a trip to Mtubatuba.
However, when the baby was left alone with the woman for a short while, she disappeared with the child.
The woman was eventually tracked to her home through her cellphone, and the infant was returned to his frantic parents.
