following a blockade mounted by rumueme by community and a consequent meeting held between Nigeria Agip Oil Company Limited and rumueme kingdom today 27/2/2014, both parties have resolved that all the issues bordering on the termination of the Cleaning service contracts belonging to Rumueme Community indigenes be put on hold for discussion on the arrival of the General Manager District, NAOC who is currently not available. The status quo on those contracts therefore remains. It is further resolved that the Community shall nominate a community that will continue a dialogue with NAOC on the other issues boarding on empowerment of the Community i.e employment, scholarship, etc. Furthermore, parties also resolved that the meeting with NAOC on the issue bordering on the Cleaning service contracts will continue on the 11th of march, 2014 following the arrival of the General Manager District.
