Nigerian youngster Chidiebere Nwakali departed the shores of the country last night to join his new Manchester City teammates at the Ethiad, Complete Sports has reliably scooped.
The 17-year-old who was a member of the Golden Eaglets squad that recently won 2013 U-17 World Cup in UAE for a record fourth time had signed a four-year-deal and passed a medical with the Manuel Pellegrini side.
"Nwakali will leave for Manchester Tuesday night to join his new club," a close source told Complete Sports.
"It is a good move for him and he will blossom with the club,” he added.
The player previously played for Shuttle Sports Academy in Nigeria will team up with his compatriot Kelechi Iheanacho who recently joined the club.
Nwakali dubbed the Nigerian Neymar scored twice in seven games for the Manu Garba led side in the competition.
