Players and officials of the Super Eagles team B who contributed to the team's winning the third place at the 2014 African Nations Championship in South Africa will be hosted by President Goodluck Jonathan in Aso Rock Presidential Villa on Thursday, as well as get monetary reward.
As it was gathered, each of the players will get N1m, the assistant coaches N1.5m, as head coach Stephen Keshi is set to receive get N2m. Other staff and team officials will get N500,000 each.
President was thrilled by the Eagles' performance against Morocco in a quarter-final match at the tournament.
"It is true that the President will host the team on Thursday. Certainly the players cannot see the president and go back empty handed, but what we don’t know is the amount that will be given to the team," said the source within the Sports Ministry.
Also, after their win against Morocco, the Sports Minister showered the team with a 100,000 dollars (about N16 million), the same amount they got in the semi-finals despite losing to Ghana.
