The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Katsina State confirmed the death of six persons in an auto crash at Farin-Bala village in Jibia Local Government Area of the state.
Alhaji Habu Dauda, the state sector commander of the FRSC, made the confirmation on November 24, 2013, Sunday.
He revealed that a crash occurred on Saturday involving a J5 bus and a private car which were carrying 10 passengers, out of which six lost their lives while four sustained injuries.
Alhaji Dauda added the injured victims were taken to Jibia hospital for treatment. He said the accident was caused by dangerous overtaking and advised drivers to always respect traffic rules, avoid over-speeding, reckless overtaking and overloading.
