President Goodluck Jonathan and Vice President Namadi Sambo on Wednesday held a closed door meeting with four governors for over two hours at the Presidential Villa.
Three PDP governors, Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa, Godswill Akbio of Akwa Ibom, Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta were joined by Ondo state governor, Olusegun Mimiko belongig to Labour party.
Details of the discussions of the meeting which started at 5pm and ended at about 7:15pm was not disclosed to journalist at the Presidential Villa.
It was however gathered that the meeting's agenda may not be unconnected with the ongoing crisis in the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF).
The governors in attendance refused making any comment when quizzed by journalists.
However the Ondo State Governor Mimiko who spoke to journalists said it was an informal meeting.
"From time to time issues come up that we have to discuss with him," he said.
Asked about the issues discussed at the meeting, he said: "Issue bothering on governance."
