Former Golden Eaglets’ defender, Friday Njengo is dead. He died on Sunday November 17 at the National Hospital Abuja, where he has been on intensive care for more than nine months after sustaining head injuries in an accident on February 3 with teammate Adamu Abubakar while traveling from Jalingo to Calabar for the team’s first phase of final camping for the African Championship.
According to the Nigeria Football Federation, burial arrangements would be announced after consultations with the family. RIP.
