PSG currently sit seven points ahead of rivals Marseille in the top flight of French football and still have a chance of Champions League glory where they face Barcelona in the quarter-finals.

However, despite admitting his admiration for Wenger, Al-Khelaifi insists that the club are happy with Carlo Ancelotti at the helm.

"Arsene Wenger is a great manager," Al-Khelaifi told Sky Sports News. "He is doing a great job with Arsenal and he has got a contract for another year I believe, which is what I hear from the media.

"I cannot talk on his behalf and I do not know what he will decide, but for us we have Carlo and we are very satisfied with Carlo Ancelotti."

PSG have been heavily backed by owners the Qatar Investment Authority, and Al-Khelaifi added that money will continue to be invested as the club aim to break into Europe's elite.

He said: "We have spent some money on the club, but we had to if we wanted to get into the top five clubs in Europe."
