Convener, Coalition of Democrats for Electoral Reform, Chief Ayo Opadokun has said that President Goodluck Jonathan lacked the
capability to fight corruption successfully.
He stated that there was no will or commitment by the Federal Government to fight corruption in the country.
In an interview with journalists in Ilorin on Tuesday, he said Jonathan would be committing suicide if he ventured actively fight
corruption.
He called for the restructuring of Nigeria to address what he termed some of the imbalances and concerns in the polity. “I don’t believe President Jonathan can fight corruption. I am not s aying this for the first time. I have been very straightforward and
consistent about my position. I have no doubt in my mind that the factor that produced him is corruption-soaked and corruption-laden.”
