According to reporters at the wedding, almost all members of the opposition party, All Progressive Party (APC) including Rivers state governor, Rotimi Amaechi were conspicuously absent at Pres. Goodluck Jonathan’s first daughter’s traditional wedding which held yesterday Saturday 5 in Otueke, Bayelsa State.
The ceremony held amidst tight security with security men frisking dignitaries including politicians and well-wishers, before they were allowed entry into the private residence of the President where the wedding took place.(please continue after cut...)
Notable dignitaries at the wedding includes; Minister of Labour, Emeka Wogu; Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu; Governors Liyel Imoke (Cross River State) Martin Elechi (Ebonyi) Theodore Orji(Abia) Emmanuel Uduaghan (Delta) Seriake Dickson (Bayelsa ) and PDP Board of Trustees Chairman, Chief Tony Anenih. Gov. Adam’s Oshiomhole was the only APC governor at the event.
