President Goodluck Jonathan Reveals Secret Of Olubadan's Long Life (PHOTOS)

Yesterday, April 15, President Goodluck Jonathan revealed secret of long life of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Samuel Odulana, at his centenary birthday celebration.
During celebration at the Monatan residence of the monarch, the President congratulated the Olubadan saying that clean mind, good character, clear conscience and good record of service made him live long and enjoyable life.

A lot of officials attended Olubadan's celebration: Senate President, Senator David Mark, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr. Emeka Ihedioha, National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, Deputy Senate Whip, Hosea Agboola, Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi, Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, former Governor of Oyo State, former Senate leader, Teslim Folarin, Minister of State for FCT, Mrs. Jumoke Akinjide and others.
President Jonathan apologized for not being able to come on Monday because of tragical Nyaya bomb blast. Though, the Minister of Information, Mr. Labaran Maku, delivered birthday message on Monday instead of the President.

He described Olubadan as a very unique monarch being one of the very few around who were born when the Northern and Southern Protectorates were amalgamated.
Jonathan and his entourage sang for the celebrant and thereafter cut the birthday cake.
Earlier in his welcome address, Otun Olubadan, Omowale Kuye, who spoke on behalf of Olubadan commended the President for the visit saying that he has been the first person to occupy the presidential seat from the minority zone of the country, he had done the right thing by the approval he gave for the ongoing National Conference which he said "what the country needs presently."
