Valeria Lukyanova, better known as "Human Barbie," is typically made up to resemble a doll, but she recently went au naturel in a makeup-free selfie.
On Monday, Lukyanova posted a selfie to her Facebook page that shows her bare-faced and wearing a black bikini. Just hours earlier, she posted a photo of her all done up and dressed in a frothy pink skirt for a modeling gig.
The difference was striking.
Lukyanova's story went viral in 2012 after the Internet caught on to her style and impossible proportions. She recently spoke with GQ editor Michael Idov and explained she really isn't that different from anyone who utilizes cosmetics and cosmetic procedures.
"Everyone wants a slim figure. Everyone gets breasts done. Everyone fixes up their face if it's not ideal, you know? Everyone strives for the golden mean. It's global now," she said.
But some just don't understand.
"I don't really get her. I don't get why people think she's so interesting," Justin Jedlica, aka "Human Ken," told GQ about meeting his living doll counterpart at a photo shoot. "She has extensions. She wears stage makeup. She's an illusionist."
