Chimamanda's 'Americanah' named BBC best book of 2013



After being listed as one of the top ten books of 2013 by the New York Times, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s book “Americanah” has been named as the best book of 2013 by the BBC. Americanah is Number 1 on BBC’s “Top 10 Books of 2013″, beating best sellers like “Mary Coin” by Marisa Silver, “The Flamethrowers” by Rachel Kushner and “The Good Nurse” by Charles Graeber.


Adichie's second novel “Half of a yellow” was adapted to screen and premiered at major film festivals around the world this year. She also had a rare feature in Beyonce's new video Flawless.
