This romance has been on for a long time. We’ve always had a gigantic crush on Portuguese hottie- Cristiano Ronaldo. Ronaldo is sexy and successful; a combination hard to pull off. We love him because he defines what it means to be patient, persistent and goal oriented; his winning spirit definitely sets him apart.
Winners take time to relish their work, knowing that scaling the mountain is what makes the view from the top so exhilarating. It has been a long wait for Cristiano Ronaldo but it was certainly worth the wait.
These certainly are the best of times for Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese international just won the coveted “ ballon d'or” against strong contenders Frank Riberry and Lionel Messi.
Despite being nominated for the award several times, the Real Madrid wonder boy picked up the award just once in 2008 and has failed to repeat the feat much to the dismay and disdain of his fans because for a long time Ronaldo has been regarded by some to be the best footballer in the world and one of the greatest of all time; we completely agree that Ronaldo is something very special and it may take a while to find this level of skill and determination in upcoming footballers.
There are so many more reasons to love him- Ronaldo has recorded outstanding success in his career; he was the first top European league player to reach 40 goals in a single season in two consecutive years, fastest Real Madrid player to reach one hundred league goals, and the first player ever to score against every team in a single season in La Liga. He also holds records for most goals scored in a season for Real Madrid and most goals scored per minute in La Liga for a Real Madrid player. In January 2013, Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 300th club goal.
We expect to see more of Ronaldo’s spectacular performance as he leads the Portuguese national team to the 2014 world cup and we will be loving him all the way.
