Urhobo youths, under the aegis Urhobo National Youth Council, UNYC, have said that former Vice President, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, and the six Northern governors opposed to President Goodluck Jonathan, would be held responsible if there was a break-up of the country.
Speaking with newsmen in Ughelli, Delta State, yesterday, National President of the group, Mr. Monday Oyeghe urged Arewa Consultative Forum, ACF “to call these set of persons to order because a fight against President Jonathan is a fight against the people of the South-South region, whose resources are the economic mainstay of the country.
“Some people boasted that they will make the country ungovernable for the President and since then, there has been the insurgency of the Boko Haram Islamist sect, which led to the killing of innocent citizens and destruction of property.
“Now that Mr. President is winning the war against terrorism, others have come up with another ploy to divert his attention from the transformation agenda.
“We urge Mr. President to stand firm in his fight against corruption and ensure that all those found to be corrupt are arrested and brought to book.
“We assure Jonathan of our support in his 2015 re-election aspiration, which the constitution of this country guarantees and nobody can stop him.”
