Militants in the Niger Delta region have been warned against camping anywhere in the area.
Commander, 4 Brigade Headquarters, Benin City, Edo State, Brig. Gen. Pat Akem, gave this warning, Thursday, at the 3 Battalion Barracks, Effurun, Delta State, during the launching of 12 Toyota Hilux patrol vans, donated by Delta State Government to assist the army in combating kidnappings, robberies and other crimes in the state.
He warned that leadership of any community, where illegal bunkering is being carried out, will suffer the full wrath of the military.

According to him, the deployment of the Quick Response Group, to flash points in parts of the state was part of the resolution taken at a security meeting with the state Governor.
He urged residents of the area to provide credible information that will lead to the arrest of criminals in their neighbourhood.
He said, “Security is every bodies’ business. We expect the host communities to co-operate with the soldiers by divulging credible intelligence to us, so that we can tackle cases before they degenerate into security problem for all of us.”
