Gunmen Kill Two Relatives Of Governor Dickson’s Aide

Despite the outcry by Bayelsa state government that the state has been evaded by militants and its attempt to curb it, armed gunmen on Monday struck, killing two relatives of Dr. Godswill Ziriki, the Special Adviser to Governor Seriake Dickson of Bayelsa State on Higher Education.
It was gathered that the Ziriki’s brothers were shot dead by some militants operating in Kuroamagbene, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of Bayelsa State.

They were reportedly murdered while attempting to prevent the militants from stealing a boat at the shore of their village.
The latest attack comes about a week that yet-to-be identified gunmen also shot dead at least eight people in the same local government area.
When contacted, spokesman of the Bayelsa State Police Command, Mr. Egoavoen Emokpai, said he was yet to get details on the incident.
