Jonathan condemns Boston Marathon bombing

President Goodluck Jonathan on Tuesday described the Monday Boston Marathon bombings in the United States as an assault on human freedom.
Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr. Reuben Abati, made Jonathan’s position known in his Twitter handle.
The President expressed his condolence to the families of the victims and Americans in general.
“President Jonathan has described the Boston Marathon bombings as an act of cruelty, an assault on human freedom and a sad day for athletics. On behalf of the people and government of Nigeria, President Jonathan expresses his heartfelt condolences to the affected families and the people of the US,” Abati wrote.
The explosions near the finish line of the Boston Marathon killed three people and wounded more than 100.
