TRAGIC: Gunmen Raid Community in Lagos, Kill APC Leader

 


Gunmen Raid Community in Lagos, Kill APC LeaderA chief of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), who defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Eng. Akeem Arowolo Jimoh, was killed by unknown gunmen, suspected to be robbers.
Mr. Akeem Jimoh was shot dead at his residence on Kelani Street, off Adealu Street, at Dopemu in Agege Local Government Area of Lagos State, in the early hours of January 19, 2014, Sunday.
The bandits who stormed the area at about 2 a.m. ransacked the residence of the APC chief, but they did not found anything valuable in the house.
About an hour later, the ex-APGA boss, who was well known in the area, was shot for not having cash at home to give them.
According to P.M.NEWS, the politician died on the spot.
It has been also learn that that the robbers raided eight other houses in the area, leaving many people injured.
The victim has already been buried in accordance with Islamic rites.
Eng. Akeem Arowolo Jimoh graduated Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin.
The deceased originated from Ojoku in Oyun Local Government Area of Kwara State. He left behind an aged mother, a wife and two children.
Besides activities in APGA, later in APC, before his death, he was running a dry-cleaning business at Sebiotimo Street, Agege.
