In a race to qualify for the next round, the Nigerian team who started the tournament with a not so good performance showed their quality against their South African counterpart by beating them by 3 goals to 1.
A brace from E. Uzoenyin and a penalty kick from I. Ede were enough for Nigeria to clinch the much needed 3 points to be through to next round of the competition
This victory have seen Nigeria qualified for the quarter final of the CHAN competition, the CHAN can also be referred to as African Nations Championship.
