Judges wig and gavel
A prominent legal practitioner in Owo Local  Government Area of Ondo State, Olufemi Adeyeri, on Thursday  slumped and died after attending to a case in the community’s Magistrate Court  Two.
It was gathered that Adeyeri, a member of the All Progressives Congress, had finished his legal duties in the court for the day and was walking out of the court hall when he suddenly slumped.
He was immediately  rushed to the Federal Medical Centre, Owo, but died before getting to the hospital.
Our correspondent learnt that the doctors while confirming his death, said he was brought in dead to the hospital.
The late Adeyeri, who contested the  Owo Constituency I seat in the House of Assembly  on the platform of the Alliance for Democracy in 2003, was said to be healthy before the incident.
His neighbours at Ego Street in Owo, described Adeyeri’s death as a rude shock, as there were no signs that the lawyer had any health problem during the day.
A former NBA Chairman in Owo,  Kola Olawoye, described the  incident as shocking, saying the  deceased “was hale and hearty this morning with no premonition of death.”
He is survived by wife and two children, Ibiyemi and Oluwole.
