House of Reps Plenary Resumes: APC Loses Two Lawmakers, as Only One Defects from PDP

 


APC Loses Two Lawmakers, as Only One Defects from PDPThe resumption of plenary at the House of Reps on January 21, 2014, Tuesday, was marked by a series of events.
Two members from the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Adamawa State defected to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
They are Rep. Titsi Ganama and Rep. Haske Hananiya.
A member of the PDP from Benue State, Rep. Emmanuel Jime, joined the APC.
A member of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), Yahaya Kwande, from Plateau State also defected to the APC.
So, during this day, PDP has an increase of two lawmakers and lost one, while the APC lost two and gained two at the same time.
In another development, a fight almost started at the House of Representatives chamber after minority leader Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila (APC) referred to the Deputy House Leader, Hon. Ogor Leonard Okuweh (PDP), as ‘Deputy Minority Leader’.
