US Marathon Bombing - Nigerian Situation. - Aliyu Bello.

This is one of the Joyous scenes following the capture of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the surviving suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings in Watertown, Massachusetts after a 24 hours lockdown of the city by the state and Federal securities outfits.
The Governor, State Police Boss, Colonel Timothy Alben, FBI and other security units thanked the residents for the steadfast, rare understanding and cooperation in ensuring that the operation was a success.
Yesterday, Massachusetts police announce they will conduct a door-to-door search in Watertown to apprehend that run-way terrorist. Citizens were warned to stay indoors, shops were locked up, Offices closed, school also shut for 24 hours. As at this Moment there has not been any grumbling, criticism of the Police, FBI, Army, the Governor or President Obama for forcing people to stay indoor for that length of time.
In Nigeria the case will be different, as the Police and Soldiers who are putting themselves in harms ways, will be subject of insult and attack by those seeking political relevance. As at this moment, there must have been calls from those who think that they love Nigeria more than others, for President Goodluck Jonathan Goodluck to resign or calling him names that will suit their intentions.
The Issues of Religion, tribe, state of Origin was never mentioned, by the Boston people and the rest of American. All hand was join together to ensure the arrest the terrorist.
In our own case, the arrest of Boko Haram members angers some Nigerians and others try to frustrate the efforts of our Security men and women, by hiding escaping Boko haram members or sheltering them from arrest.
I appeal to Our Northern brothers and sisters and the whole citizens of our great country, that we have no other country to call our own, apart from Nigeria. We must support the efforts of the president and the Joint Task Force (JTF) to bring back peace to the troubled states in North, while we wait for the sittings and recommendations of the Amnesty committee.
Lastly Northerners should emulate Kano people, who fights back Boko haram, giving the security officials useful information to ensure that Kano will not be home to the blood thirst fundamentalist.
A model nation can only be actualised if we see Nigeria as our own, that is the believe and for the generation to come.
Allah Bless Nigeria - Dr Aliyu Bello, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom.
