A Chelsea fan has reportedly tattooed Mikel Obi’s name on his bottom after the midfielder scored his fourth goal for the club in an FA Cup match against Derby County on Sunday.
The fan has somehow trumped the January transfer window with a spectacular promise that backfired when midfielder Mikel opened the scoring in the game.
The Independent reports that Lee Mitchell made the brave promise that if Mikel scored, he would get either the Chelsea badge or Mikel’s name tattooed on his bum, safe in the knowledge that the Nigerian had scored just three goals in his seven-and-a-half years at Stamford Bridge.
The tweet read, “If Mikel scores today I’ll get his name or the Chelsea badge tattooed on my ass.”
However, he forgot to do his homework, as two of those have come in the FA Cup, and Mikel rolled back the years to fire into the net for his third cup goal and condemn Lee to a trip to the tattoo studio.
Maybe it was the fact Mikel had done the unthinkable, but Lee chose to go with his name rather than the crest of his beloved Chelsea. Only he knows why.
