The Ogun State Police Command on Sunday arrested Olusuyi Ayomide, 23, of Atapila Camp area of Abeokuta, Odeda Local Government Area of Ogun State for stealing two Blackberry Phones during services in two churches.
The suspect went into the churches one after the other while the services were on and stole the phones.
He was arrested by officers attached to the Obantoko Police Station with the help of members of the churches.
The suspect, who will soon be charged to court.
His parents have also accused him of being a notorious thief.
The Commissioner of Police, Ikemefuna Okoye said Ayomide pretended to be one of the worshippers in the churches where he stole the phones from.
Okoye urged churches to endeavour to solidify their internal security arrangement.
