On Wednesday, police in Jigawa gunned down two robbery suspects along the Kano-Ringim highway, announced Mr Theophilus Kayode, state's Police Commissioner.
The robbers were neutralized at about 5 a.m.; two other suspects, however, managed to escape with bullet wounds.
Among the items recovered from the hoodlums were a Honda car, a hand set, N148,520, two locally-made pistols, an AK 47 riffle and eight live cartridges.
The police Commissioner urged members of the public to provide the police with relevant information to rid the state of criminals.
