The Minister of Sports, Bolaji Abdullahi, has said that Super Eagles coach, Stephen Keshi, will not be forced to work with a foreign assistant to prepare for next year’s World Cup to be held in Brazil.
Several people, including Nigeria former coach, Austin Eguavoen, and other stakeholders, suggested that Keshi might need help from a foreign technical assistant for the team to show good performance  at in Brazil.

Responding to these suggestions, Abdullahi has insisted that no one will be imposed on Keshi, except the coach makes a personal demand. According to his words, Keshi has done a great job and only if he feels need for additional support, he will be provided such support.

“But we are confident he is capable of doing the job. We have confidence in his ability to lead the team to the World Cup.”
