Police Brutally Kill Fresh Graduate In Kaduna

A fresh graduate, Mr. Moses Murtala Aminu was brutally killed by a police corporal Alex Okpe on Sunday 29, September, 2013.
The young and vibrant young man who was said to be the bread winner of the family, just graduated from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
The aged parents of the deceased, Mr. and Mrs. Mohammed Jimoh Aminu have threatened to take legal action to seek justice.
The blind father of the deceased, Mallam Aminu, a sexagenarian said he wanted to live the case in the hand of God, but disclosed that his friends and associates insisted that he take legal action.
According to the family solicitor, Mr. Ehizogie Imadojemu,  every legal means is being carried out to ensure that the brutal killing of Moses does not go unpunished, even if it involves dragging the man and the Nigeria Police Force to court.
Reacting to the killing, Kaduna State Police Commissioner Olufemi Adenaike confirmed that the officer, Corporal Okpe, had confessed firing but insisted that he did not aim to kill the deceased, adding that the officer has since been arrested and investigation had since started.
“We have commenced investigation and should the police officer be found guilty, he will be dismissed and prosecuted.”
