PHOTONEWS: Who Should Take Agagu's Corpse? - Police, AIB, LASEMA And Nigerian Air Force Argue Disagree

 

 
Officials form different Nigerian institution were shoving one another this morning as they could not agree who would take possession of the casket which carrying the corpse of the former former Governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Agagu, involved in today's crash at the Lagos airport today.

These institutions are: the Nigerian Police Force (NPF), Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB), Nigerian Air Force (NAGF) and Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA)
 
LASEMA General Manager, Dr. Osanyintolu, asked to take the body to LASUTH, while other officials argued it should go to the AIB.
 
As the LASEMA boss kept insisting, policemen at the scene said the rescue and evacuation operation were concluded, indicating their interest to take the corpse.
Members of the Nigerian Air Force however prevailed after they got support by other agencies who said they could not allow LASEMA take the body.
The casket was finally taken in an ambulance belonging to the Nigerian Air Force to the hospital in their base near the Air Port.
It will be recalled the a plane carrying 27 people and conveying the body of the former Ondo State governor, Olusegun Agagu, crashed this morning at the Murtala Muhammed airport in Lagos immediately after take-off killing, reportedly, 17 people, including two children. view more pics down
