The President, Goodluck Jonathan, on Friday congratulated the National U17 team, Golden Eaglets, on their 5-0 victory over Iraq at the ongoing U-17 (football) World Cup in Dubai.
The Golden Eaglets have made it to the knock-out stage of the tournament.
The President urged the team to maintain its resilience, commitment, and dedication, exhibited thus far in the competition, until ultimate victory was achieved.
He said team should train well and master their skills and soccer artistry, beat all the remaining opponents and finally bring the Under-17 World Cup to Nigeria.
Jonathan also promised the support of the Federal Government and all Nigerians as Golden Eaglets progress in the competition
