A 37-year-old man has been accused of physically abusing his wife to death.
According to reports from Lagos High Court in Igbosere, Babatunde Gbolahan was arraigned for manslaughter and he pleaded not guilty to the charges.
According to the charge, “you, Babatunde Gbolahan, committed the offence on October 13, 2009 at 9, Olatunji Street, Mushin, Lagos at 7.40p.m.”
Reports also revealed that Gbolahan had an argument with his wife, identified as Yemisi. The argument then led to a fight between the couple after which Gbolahan attacked her and beat her to death with a belt and a stick.
The case was adjourned to December 2.
