Veteran Nollywood actor, Olu Jacobs recently praised his wife, Joke Silva saying she is not only his wife but his mother and my best friend.

The couple who have been tagged as “Nollywood’s most celebrated couple” have been married for 28 years.
Olu Jacobs said marrying Joke was the best decision of his life.
Hear what the 71-year-old actor said about his wife:
“ Joke has been more than a wife to me. She has been a confidant, a counsellor, a great manager and business partner. A mother and my best friend”.
“All these combined with the God factor are the reasons why our marriage has lasted this long”.
Apart from their Nollywood career, the couple together owned, Lufodo Group, which comprises Lufodo Academy of Performing Arts (LAPA), Lufodo Distribution and Lufodo Consult, an entertainment related business group.

Davido and South African group Mafikizolo collaborate on new music

South African singer and producer Oskido revealed on twitter yesterday that Mafikizolo, the South African singing group behind hit song, Khona are working on a musical collaboration with Nigerian music sensation Davido. Nigeria's former Minister of State for Interior,Humphrey Abah and his wife of 23 years, Mrs Mary Abah welcomed a baby recently 23 years after the got married.

49 year old Mary, who is a lawyer and banker, shared her experience with Punch on the challenges of being married for so long without a child and the support she got from her husband.
"When they told me I was pregnant, I screamed and cried in the hospital and everyone present rose up and gave thanks to the Lord. Since then, the story has been one testimony after another. But that was not all, when I was to put to bed, I was told there might be complications as a result of all the operations I had done. They said that might make it a very difficult and dangerous birth. Yet, the Lord saw me through. It feels great and I thank the Lord for wiping away my tears and making me a mother at last. It is a dream I have had since I married at the age of 27.

I see God in whatever I do. Even if God doesn’t answer you now, it doesn’t mean you should stop working for Him. If He has called you, that means you are so important to Him.  I am working for Him and I am just privileged to work for Him. I don’t want anything to distract me from working for Him. It is not as if I am doing gospel for the money, I sing because I want people to hear the good news.

Man Claiming To Be Prophet Mohammed Gets Sentenced To Death For Blasphemy

 

Human rights campaigners are calling for the immediate release of a British man sentenced to death under Pakistan's blasphemy laws.

Mr Mohammad Asghar was arrested in 2010 after he claimed to be Prophet Mohammed in letters sent to various officials. A judge convicted and sentenced him last Thursday following a trial.

But a lawyer who defended Mr Asghar said he suffers from mental illness and the case was really a property dispute.
Amnesty International's deputy Asia Pacific director Polly Truscott said:
